Welcome to another exciting dance season! We look forward to once again seeing our returning students and, of course, meeting all of our new dancers. Your dress code items can be purchased in our shop at our River Oaks studio or online. Although most orders arrive within 7-10 days, please allow enough time to receive your order before the start of classes. It is best to come into the studio so we can fit your dancer for the appropriate size ballet shoes and leotard.
If ordering online from Corps Dancewear, use coupon code KD_RIVEROAKS (case sensitive) to receive a discount. Leotards ordered online will not have our logo printed in case an exchange is needed.
Required Items
Little Leapers Grown Up & Me: Comfortable play clothes or leotard and barefoot. Grownup should wear comfortable clothes and socks or barefoot.
Ready, Set, Leap: Skirted Corps Dancewear leotard in “pink”, barefoot. Hair in a ponytail or bun.
Leap N Learn: Pink tights, skirted Corps Dancewear leotard in “pink”, pink ballet shoes. Hair in a ponytail or bun.
Pre-Primary A & B Ballet: Pink tights, skirted Corps Dancewear leotard in “lipstick”, pink ballet shoes. Hair in a ponytail or bun.
Primary A & B Ballet: Pink tights, Corps Dancewear princess seam tank leotard in “aquamarine” and pink ballet shoes. Hair in a bun.
Level 1 & 2 Ballet: Pink tights, Corps Dancewear princess seam tank leotard in “mallard” and pink ballet shoes. Hair in a bun.
Hip-Hop: Black workout leggings, River Oaks Dance hip-hop t-shirt, non-black soled athletic shoes reserved for dance class only, and hair pulled back in a ponytail. Dancers participating in the recital or other performance will purchase a pair of shoes to match the group that can also be worn for class. Hair in a ponytail.
Tap: Black workout leggings, River Oaks Dance logo t-shirt, Bloch or Capezio caramel leather Mary Jane style tap shoes (must be Bloch or Capezio as off-brands can damage our floor) with Velcro closure. Hair in a ponytail.
Contemporary: black footless leggings, ballet dress code color or black leotard, socks. Hair in a ponytail.
Boys: Black knit pants, white t-shirt, black ballet shoes. Shoes can be purchased on our online shop. You can find leggings or joggers on Primary.com.
Above are required items by class. Additional items you may want to purchase include a dance bag, ballet sweater, extra tights (highly recommended).
Important Notes
Please do not purchase shoes from Amazon, Academy, Target, Wal-Mart, etc. They are typically not leather and don’t fit properly or comfortably.
Please label all items – especially shoes so if they are left behind we can get them back to the right student.
